A model curriculum for Indian child welfare practice.This curriculum module examines the issues and tasks in Indian foster family care. It introduces the Indian child welfare worker (hereafter referred to as ICW worker or worker) to basic concepts and processes involved in placement of children. The module is designed to provide the worker with an understanding of historical and cultural factors involved in foster family care. Work with parents, children, and foster parents is discussed. The goal of Module III is to enhance the capacity of the Indian child welfare worker to perform foster care services.
